About
Us
The beginning of the college tenure or the first step in the building
of a career, either are quite a pivotal time in a young man or
woman’s life. Typically this time marks your first
major steps of independence and self sustaining
“freedom” from mom and dad. The faith of
young adults is really tested during this phase of life. Their faith
will become extremely personal and vibrant during this transition or
they will grow cold and indifferent in their walk with God
Whether you have moved to the Bryan/College Station area for Texas
A&M, Blinn, or a new career, we at Texas Avenue Baptist Church
don’t believe you are here simply for an education or to earn
a living. Rather, we believe that God’s sovereign
plan has brought you here to serve and give God glory. In
this you are blessed with the opportunity to attend an institute of
higher education or propel yourself forward in the workforce.
So we are excited that you are prayerfully considering Texas Avenue as
a place to fulfill God’s will in your life, however long you
are in the Brazos Valley.
Our College/Career class is a dynamic class comprised of a variety of
young men and women that are engaged in many different walks of life
(i.e. full-time employment, bachelor degree, master’s,
etc…); but all are common in that they have a desire to be
used by our Lord Jesus Christ and grow in a closer walk with
Him. This is manifested in our multiple weekly ministries
(mid-week Bible Study, prayer meetings, etc…), and also just
in the way that we hang-out, play, and fellowship with one another.
Also at Texas Avenue you will find that our church family is just that,
a family. One that loves young men and women that God has
brought through our doors and blessed us with the privilege to mentor
and see grow. For that reason, and because we desire to see
all young believers be used to the fullest for the glory of God, our
church encourages all to prayerfully consider joining the membership of
our church family and become active in the many ministries available at
Texas Avenue Baptist Church.
